Visit the Western Highlands during the most spectacular season of all….

…The majority of guests staying at Inchree during the the colder months are here for winter sport –  mountaineers, climbers and skiers & snowboarders. But please don’t be put off if you don’t match that description! It’s also a super time to take a short break in the Western Highlands – the area is generally quiet, and the mountain scenery has a spectacular mantle of snow and ice.

Other mountain areas close-by

  • The Beinn a’ Bheithir massif, whose jagged outline dominates the skyline to the south, is only a 10 minute drive from us. This popular high-level walk is more commonly known as ‘The Ballachulish Horseshoe,’ and takes in 2 ‘Munros’. (Scottish hills over 3000 feet in height)
  • The Mamore Mountains, with their 10 Munros, are a 20 minute drive away. Accessed from either Kinlochleven or Glen Nevis, this superb range is often overlooked, due to the proximity of it’s more famous neighbours.
  • Additionally, the remote and vast mountain areas of Morven & Ardgour can be accessed by a 3 minute ferry ride across the Corran Ferry. (500 metres from Inchree)

Inchree’s location doesn’t get any better for west-coast skiing. We are exactly mid-way between the Nevis Range and Glencoe ski areas, both being a 25 minute drive away.
